Position Summary
In this role, you will be the facilitator of positive and strategic relationships with our valued clients and insurance carrier partners. The primary objective of this role is to support our agency and our clients by being the Commercial Insurance subject matter expert programs and supporting our business in the following functions:
- Manage the entire account-service process
- Provide marketing information to carriers
- Prepare quotes and proposals
- Assist with client presentations
- Maintain renewal controls on expirations and binders
- Check and verify policies/endorsements/audits for accuracy
- Assist in coordinating premium financing and the collection of premiums
- Maintain accurate and organized account files
- Systematically use our Customer Relationship Module (CRM) to support our sales and renewal processes
- Develops trusted advisor relationships with clients and peers
- Effective time management skills
- Maintain accurate and organized account files
- Lead and support root cause analysis to help find great solutions for our clients and our agency
- Advocate continuously for our clients and our agency teams
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and innovation based on knowledge of the market, carriers, and products to help to support great outcomes for our clients
- Driving to root cause and helping to support and find great solutions to our client and agency challenges
- Service inbound client communications to facilitate resolution for the employer and the covered individual.
- Assist clients with understanding commercial insurance and the regulations and requirements affecting commercial insurance.
- Perform eligibility audits to assist with billing inquiries and challenges
- Explain client needs and concerns focusing on how various plan designs and recommendations address those issues.
- Review renewals, new business presentations, and open enrollment materials to ensure they are accurate and complete in content, compliant with company and regulatory guidelines, and reflect a professional appearance.
- Own the client life cycle process including client acquisition, development, and retention
- Provide strategic training, guidance, and support to our clients and Account Managers
- Build and sustain great relationships with our insurance carrier and advisory partners
- Advocating for our clients and our agency team.
Reporting Relationships
This position is accountable to the Chief Operating Officer.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license with valid automobile insurance meeting agency criteria.
- Occasional travel to client locations and training
- Valid California Department of Insurance Property & Casualty License
- Minimum 3-10 years of experience with insurance agency handling commercial accounts.
- Minimum High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree in Business management, Human Resources management, Financial management, or another related field is preferred.
- Professional designation(s) - CIC, AAI, CPCU, ARM is preferred.

- 5+ years’ experience in an employee benefits related vendor management role
- Experience in wellness programs – preferred
- Experience in short and long-term disability benefits – preferred
